-

WITH the changes that come in meeting the new world and way of doing things, universities need to prepare students to adapt in order to be able to face the challenges that come with this newness that sweeps across industries. Hence, Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM) is offering its MSc Renewable Energy Engineering, MSc Business Psychology and MSc Petroleum Engineering, that consider and cater to the practices and procedures of the new era.

GROWING WITH THE TIMES

According to HWUM programme coordinator Dr Go Yu Li, the MSc Renewable Energy Engineering programme enables students to develop critical understanding of changes in the energy industry and explore the potential of the global market. One who shares the same sentiments is HWUM MSc Renewable Energy Engineering student Iman Ashraf Asmuni, who expressed how the programme has helped him develop his knowledge as an engineer.

“Heriot-Watt University’s postgraduate programmes are very industry-oriented compared to others’. It is an important aspect for me, as I work towards becoming an expert in the field of renewable energy,” Iman said.

IN COMPETENT HANDS

Students under any of the three mentioned programmes will learn valuable insights into the new economy and modern way things are done. This is mainly because HWUM is committed to raising the level of its students and providing experienced industry experts to share current and updated information.

HWUM MSc Business Psychology student Lee Winson and HWUM MSc Petroleum Engineering student Steeve Ronald expressed their appreciation towards their lecturers for the guidance given and knowledge shared.

No doubt, attaining a postgraduate degree from a prestigious UK university benefits, but being taught and guided by dedicated and adept lecturers does wonders.

Thus, this commitment to be industry-centric has earned HWUM a solid reputation. The university was ranked first in Scotland in Accounting and Finance, Building and Town and Country Planning, Economics and Chemical Engineering by the Guardian University Guide 2018.
