GERMAN FOUND AMONG GROUP OF MIGRANTS

ISTANBUL: A German national was found among a group of 96 migrants, mostly Syrians, who were trying to take small boats from Turkey’s western coast with the aim of crossing illegally to Greece, according to a statement from the Turkish coast guard. No further details were available on the German citizen captured on Friday. The coast guard said 48 of the 125 migrants captured on Thursday and Friday were children. – dpa
