STARBUCKS takes the lid off its “other” caffeinated drink on the menu and puts its brew to “chill” (pun intended).

From today, Sept 12, visit any Starbucks store and indulge in the three new season’s specials, comprising two frozen beverages and a coffeebased alternative that are expected to start a queue and develop a fan base.

Starbucks Teavana Frozen Chamomile Tea with Kyoho Grape and Aloe makes a simply refreshing and delicious cold cuppa, ideal to sit back and relax in our hot and humid weather. The icy treat gets an A+ for presentation, offering an arty marriage of blended ice and liquid. Featuring Starbucks fine Teavana herbal concoction of chamomile tea that blends so beautifully when complemented with honey, white grapes and diced aloe, these deliver a cool, delicately sweet tea- based beverage served in a cold cup, generously topped with skinned and pitted whole Japanese Kyoho grapes. Starbucks Teavana Frozen Matcha Lemon Yuzu will drive Starbucks’ fans wild with its crisp and fresh aroma, not to mention its raw but zesty and delightful flavour. Boldly infused with Starbucks signature Teavana Matcha, complemented with refreshing yuzu, and marbled with fresh lemon ginger foam, the colours of green and plum in its entangled harmony simply draw one to take a sip, then savour, and indulge. The earthy flavour and silky finish make for a beautifully balanced iceblended concoction to chill with over something hot.

For the devoted coffee lover who can’t get by a day without their “bean” fix, there is the Starbucks Maple Pecan Latte, an irresistibly hot and will-be favourite beverage, if not already. Offering maple swirled in espresso, each a heavenly heartwarmer, finished with a light layer of fluffy milk foam and crunchy praline sprinkles – have it hot, iced or blended, and seal the day satisfied.
