KUALA LUMPUR: With more than 5,000 Taiwanese products and services on display, the Taiwan Expo 2017 which is taking place in barely less than 24 hours is surely the trade show not to be missed.

Making its final tour stop in Malaysia after a successful showcase of innovative products in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam, the expo is bound to offer and share the best solutions, services and products from Taiwan.

“I am confident the expo will help us to deepen and enhance bilateral trade between Taiwan and Malaysia en route to creating the best of life aesthetics, the most thriving metropolis, and an inclusive Muslimfriendly environment.

“The expo will also help Taiwan promote our cooperation with Malaysia counterparts and increase Taiwan’s visibility in the region,” Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia representative James Chang Chi-Ping said during a media briefing yesterday.

Chang pointed out Taiwan has been agressively expanding into the Southeast Asia market since the introduction and implementation of Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and the expansion has yield positive and great results so far.

“Three main focus areas of the policy – economic and trade cooperation, talent exchanges, and resource sharing – have been incorporated into the seven major pillars of the expo which includes Taiwan excellence, green technology, e-commerce services, education and careers, medical services, and culture and tourism,” he said.

Themed “BEST for MY Life!” the expo will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for three days starting tomorrow.
