BN machinery geared up for GE14

UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the policy speech by Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has lifted the BN machinery’s spirit in facing GE14.

Ahmad Zahid, who is also deputy prime minister, said Najib’s leadership has been proven as BN had managed to implement 96.6% of the coalition’s manifesto in the last general election.

“Najib has managed to reform the BN leadership since he took over as Umno president in 2009.

“BN has managed to implement 96.6% of its last manifesto and this is a good achievement,” he said.

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who is also Unmo vice-president, said the BN machinery must shoulder the responsibility to maintain the drive at the division and branch levels.

“Overall, I’m satisfied with the preparation made so far but we must ensure the momentum remains. “The report card tabled by the president today was to convince the public on why they should vote for us.

“We are hoping that the rakyat will really evaluate our report card because it’s not something that we made up.” Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamad said BN should remain steadfast and must work hand-in-hand to ensure victory in GE14.

“In his speech, the president has given us the motivation to be united and focus on the goal. The general assembly is an extraordinary event that gathers a lot of people from every corner of the country, and I am sure all of the delegates will spread the content of the president’s policy speech to all,” he said.
