Prestigious achievement

- MARK MATHEN VICTOR

ESTABLISHED in 1987 to offer a viable educational platform that offers a chance for individuals from all walks of life to secure a world class legal qualification, Advance Tertiary College (ATC) is one of the oldest private law schools in the region.

Primarily providing the University of London’s Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree programme, the 3+0 course enables undergraduates to both study locally and graduate with a credible international legal qualification from “the very first university that offered English law”, the University of London.

“Attaining an LLB degree through the University of London International Programmes is indeed a prestigious achievement,” said ATC’s CEO and principal, Dr Danny Choong.

“It has helped launch many of our graduates into building successful careers, not only in legal practice, but also in other non-legal and highly competitive spheres, both locally and internationally”.

In ATC, the quality of education is of the utmost priority. The law school seeks to impart legal knowledge with the prime focus being how the minds of undergraduates are moulded towards critical and analtical thinking.

A sharp mind is an important skill needed for one to truly manoeuvre and appreciate the workings of the constantly evolving field of law. Over the years, the growth and endless achievements of ATC’s own students has fueled the private law school’s strong commitment towards excellence.

In the recent LLB examinations held in May 2017, Siah An-Gel from ATC KL won the Malaysian Laws Scholarship.

The scholarship, also known as the King’s Scholarship, is awarded yearly by the University of London to any Malaysian student that scores the highest marks in Year One of the LLB programme.

Through the scholarship, An-Gel will be completing the remaining two final years of her degree at King's College London.
