Across-the-board programmes
> Disted College provides quality, relevant and wholesome education to students from all walks of life
SCHOOL leavers today know what they want and plan ahead to formulate their education plans and career choices but if you would rather have a ready-made plan, Disted College can help you.
Disted College offers two Pre-University programmes for school leavers, the Cambridge A-Level and the South Australia Matriculation (SACE) which are internationally recognised pathways to universities worldwide. Both programmes are available in 12-month and 18-month durations to cater to students’ different learning needs and pace.
Disted will be offering 100% off tuition fees and MPU fees to high-achieving SPM and IGCSE students. The Full Scholarship Awards will be given to students who register for the Pre-University and Diploma programmes in 2018. The scholarship covers both tuition fees and MPU fees.
As part of its efforts to meet the workforce requirements of today's market, the college introduced the Disted Japan Transfer Programme, the first of such transfer programmes which connects participating Japanese higher learning institutions to earn an undergraduate or eventually postgraduate qualification in Japan. It has also established the MiniCircuit – Disted Japan Transfer Programme scholarship to further encourage prospective and qualified students to pursue this prestigious programme.
Besides that, The UK Transfer Programme is designed to facilitate a fasttrack learning experience for students to earn a globally recognised UK degree. Upon completing their diploma studies with the BTEC Higher National Diploma at Disted College, students also earn a degree directly with a partner institution in UK under this programme.
Additionally, the Super Saver Programme is designed to reward students who would like to continue their undergraduate studies with the college upon completing their dual award diploma. Students stand to save up to 30% in tuition fees upon signing up for the scheme. This package serves to protect and guarantee the fees for the coming years ahead.
Disted College also offers diploma studies which come with a dual award qualification, presenting students with not one but two diplomas. Diploma studies are available in accounting, business, computing, engineering, creative multimedia, and hospitality management.
Other scholarship awards include the High Performance Scholarship which provides tuition fee waivers up to RM9,000 for students with 3As and above in their forecast or actual SPM results.
The Yeap Chor Ee Charitable Trust – Penang Turf Club Undergraduate Award is another scholarship offered to deserving students pursuing the Staffordshire University Business Degree or the HELP University Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) programme.
The college also provides bursaries for students with disabilities to do its part for the well-being of the community. Students with any disabilities who are registered with the Social Welfare Department are eligible to apply for the bursary upon registering as a student in any of the programmes.
Finally, the college will be introducing the Disted CARES (Community Assistance Rebates & Education Scheme) which takes into account socio-economic backgrounds to award deserving students. This is in line with the college’s not-for-profit policy and to do its part in contributing back its profits to society.
Disted College’s open day is scheduled on December 16 and 17, 23 and 24, 30 and 31, and January 7 and 8 from 9am to 5pm.
