Teens to be Girl,14, CHARGED found dead with 45 stab wounds

KUANTAN: Two teenagers will be charged to­day at the Te­mer­loh mag­is­trate’s court with the bru­tal mur­der of a 14-year-old girl who was stabbed 45 times and dumped into the Sun­gai Tri­ang last Oc­to­ber.

Pa­hang Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tion De­part­ment chief SAC Oth­man Nayan said po­lice de­tained nine sus­pects, in­clud­ing two women, in the course of the 62-day in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

“The sus­pects are all lo­cals. We found that two teenagers, aged 15 and 18, were di­rectly in­volved in the mur­der,” he said in a state­ment yes­ter­day.

Po­lice also seized a hand­phone, be­long­ing to the vic­tim, a school dropout.

Oth­man said in­ves­ti­ga­tion pa­pers on the case have been sub­mit­ted to the state deputy pub­lic pros­e­cu­tor (DPP) for fur­ther ac­tion.

“The DPP or­dered the teenagers to be charged un­der Sec­tion 302 of the Pe­nal Code for mur­der, read to­gether with Sec­tion 34 of the same Act,” he added.

The 15-year-old sus­pect is still school­ing while the other is a col­lege stu­dent.

The body of the girl, iden­ti­fied as Nur Amira Ab­dul­lah from Felda Bukit Pu­chong, was found float­ing on Sun­gai Tri­ang in Bera at about 3.30pm on Oct 26.

She had stab wounds to the chest, ab­domen, back, arms and left leg.
