KUANTAN: Two teenagers will be charged today at the Temerloh magistrate’s court with the brutal murder of a 14-year-old girl who was stabbed 45 times and dumped into the Sungai Triang last October.

Pahang Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Othman Nayan said police detained nine suspects, including two women, in the course of the 62-day investigation.

“The suspects are all locals. We found that two teenagers, aged 15 and 18, were directly involved in the murder,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Police also seized a handphone, belonging to the victim, a school dropout.

Othman said investigation papers on the case have been submitted to the state deputy public prosecutor (DPP) for further action.

“The DPP ordered the teenagers to be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, read together with Section 34 of the same Act,” he added.

The 15-year-old suspect is still schooling while the other is a college student.

The body of the girl, identified as Nur Amira Abdullah from Felda Bukit Puchong, was found floating on Sungai Triang in Bera at about 3.30pm on Oct 26.

She had stab wounds to the chest, abdomen, back, arms and left leg.
