FALSE STATEMENT: EX-DIRECTOR FREED

KUALA LUMPUR: A former company director was discharged and acquitted by the sessions court from a charge of furnishing a false statement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, in relation to the affairs of a listed corporation, eight years ago. Judge Shamsudin Abdullah discharged and acquitted J.Alan Rajendram, 62, who is a chartered accountant by profession. Shamsudin said the prosecution had failed to prove of making the charge under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.
