TWICE a year, Swiss Education Group students are given the opportunity to meet more than 100 hospitality leaders from around the world at the International Recruitment Forum (IRF).

Open to all seven campuses, the IRF is considered to be an unmissable event that allows students to network with future employers and get exclusive access to the best career opportunities before they complete their studies.

Last year, the forum was held at the Montreux Convention Centre in Montreux, Switzerland from Oct 23 to 24 where 2,500 students from SEGaffiliate schools had the chance to network, interview, participate in round tables and workshops, benefit from the wise words of keynote speakers, attend career presentations and meet with industry representatives to be interviewed and recruited for full-time employment in executive positions or internship, management or corporate training.

There were panel discussions about Career Options: Destination, Position or Brand, Upcoming Chefs: Key Skills Needed for Tomorrow’s Kitchen, Hospitality Recruitment: The Next Generation and Adapting To Your Client: The “Free From” Food Movement.

There was also a presentation of a study on Generation Z at School: Educating the Smartphone Generation.

Present at the forum were Swiss Education Group chief executive officer Florent Rondez, its chief brand and marketing officer Benoit Samson, its chief academic officer Emanuel D. Donahuser and consumer behaviour specialist Alexandra Broennimann.
