Man threatens to behead ex-girfriend’s brother

-

KUANTAN: Police have initiated an investigation into an incident where a man armed with a parang, allegedly threatened to behead a boy before abducting his ex-girlfriend at Sungai Soi on Saturday.

Sources said in the 4.30pm incident, the suspect in his 30s went to the victim’s house located in an Orang Asli settlement and assaulted his exgirlfriend, 35, a lab assistant at a school here.

The woman and the victim, who is the younger brother of the woman were resting in the living room with two other siblings when the man came to the house.

The man stormed into the house by breaking its wooden door before hitting his ex-girlfriend repeatedly.

He then placed a parang at the victim’s neck, and asked for her elder sibling who was not at home during the incident.

The man then threatened to behead the rest of the siblings if they did not give him an answer.

A neighbour, who heard the occupants of the home screaming, rushed to their aid.

As soon as the neighbour rushed in, the man fled the scene with his exgirlfriend in her car.

The rest of the occupants lodged police reports at the Jaya Gading police station later the same day.

The abducted woman later texted one of her family members on Sunday, confirming that she was safe.

However, the woman’s family are still worried, as they are unable to contact her, and have no knowledge of her whereabouts.

The suspect has been described as a hot-tempered person.

District police chief ACP Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali confirmed the incident but declined to comment further.
