MAKING the decision to pursue an A-Level course may seem simple, yet deciding on the best institution is no easy task, considering the numerous institutions out there that offer a variety of pre-tertiary programmes.

Since commencing in 1987, Advance Tertiary College (ATC) has offered education at the pre-tertiary level with the objective of giving students the opportunity to further their education in fields of their choice. In the last five years, it has expanded regionally with branches in Penang, Singapore and Hong Kong.

ATC has strongly committed itself to providing students with unparalleled quality of education and with more than 2,000 students pursuing their professional and pre-tertiary students with them, this is proof of its strong reputation and leadership in private education.

A former A-Level student, Jeevitha Thurai received the Malaysian Law Scholarship Award in 2014 and is now doing the University of London LLB degree at the prestigious King's College, London. She achieved remarkable results at the A-Level examinations and went on to perform extremely well during her first year of the LLB programme at ATC. She was then provided with the opportunity to complete her law degree in the UK on the King's College scholarship.

Only one Malaysian is given this honour annually and ATC has an outstanding track record of over 10 scholars being given this privilege over the years. Jeevitha has truly benefited from the sound foundation she had received from the solid teaching at ATC.

The A-Level qualification has provided her with the proper tools to take on subjects that are more challenging in her degree.

Designed with the objective of giving students the opportunity to further their education in various fields, the A-Level qualification is awarded by the University of Cambridge.

The subjects offered include English Literature, Thinking Skills, Law, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting and Mathematics. Examinations are held twice a year, allowing students the chance and time to prepare themselves for the respective subjects.

ATC demonstrates a steady continuity in its list of high achievers throughout the years. The success stories in 2012 and 2013 from the School of Pre-Tertiary include Ting Ee Linn who obtained the highest score in the world for the Law subject and Chan Heng Joe who scored top marks for the Economics subject in Malaysia on the AS Level. This is testament of the strong commitment of its faculty in ensuring students excel in their education at the institution.
