Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd yesterday said two men aged 34 and 41 were arrested in the 4.30pm raid. Both tested positive for methamphetamine and have drug abuse records.

They were remanded for seven days until Jan 26. The case is being investigated under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,which carries the death sentence.

Police also seized three cars worth RM50,000 and RM4,000 in cash. Mohd Khalil said police are still looking for several drug pushers involved in the case.

He said so far this year, police have seized drugs worth RM 57.99 million and assets of RM 19.08 million belonging to syndicates, while 15,991 people were arrested for drugrelated offences.

Meanwhile in Seremban, police busted a drug trafficking syndicate with the arrest of three men and seized drugs worth more than RM10,000.

In Seremban, district police chief ACP Thiew Hock Poh said two men, aged 28 and 39, who were in a car were arrested in Taman Jaswin Senawang at 1pm last Thursday.

He said 69 plastic bags of drugs believed to be heroin weighing 240g in addition to a packet of methamphetamine (12.5g), were found in the car.

Further investigations led to the arrest of a third suspect after his car was stopped by police in Taman Bidara, Rahang, while he was attempting to escape.
