WHY spend and receive no extras when you can with Carlsberg? This festive season, Carlsberg Malaysia offers the nation its “Probably The Most Victorious Year” campaign, inspired by the Chinese saying Qi Kai De Sheng. The phrase symbolises the brewer’s “flagging off to successful ventures” and invites the community to come together, in the name of “together we succeed”!

The campaign was launched at a ceremony held at 1Utama Shopping Centre, welcoming over 500 guests and hundreds of shoppers. An exciting evening saw a merry crowd engage in an agenda of funfilled and entertaining activities. From a riveting lion dance act, complete with heart-stomping acrobatic feats, to a martial arts presentation bearing Carlsberg flag bearers, plus an impressive 24-season drum performance showcasing an eight-foot giant drum.

Proceedings of the evening also highlighted Carlsberg’s 30-year fund-raising campaign – Top Ten Charity Campaign, which collected half a billion ringgit, in aid of some 650 schools. The Chinese community initiative, a collaboration with two Chinese dailies, invited “Top Ten” artistes onstage to sing a medley of CNY songs.

Formalities included a word from the “top dog” – managing director Lars Lehmann, who formally launched the campaign and wished all Malaysians a victorious year.

“Be jolly together, abundance of happiness, a simply satisfying year, and cheers or yum seng,” said Lehmann, when striking each of the four giant red bottle cap replicas, each depicting the individual greeting.

Combined, the four key Chinese characters on the “auspicious” caps read “Probably The Most Victorious Year” – portrayed in Carlsberg’s CNY campaign offering over RM6 million worth of prizes until Feb 28.

Visit the Carlsberg website and its social media platforms for information on its “Everyone is a Winner” promotion; “Probably The Best CNY Shopping Experience – You Shop, Carlsberg Pays”; its red pull-ring can promotion; as well as many more consumer promotions running at participating F&B outlets, supermarkets and hypermarkets.
