Roaring start to Tiger’s CNY campaign

-

WITH decorations in place and festive tunes blaring from loudspeakers, the eight Gods of Prosperity and eight dancing lions were warmly welcomed to theSun office.

The visit, part of Tiger Beer’s yearly tradition to offer good wishes and prosperity to its “daily” partner – an endeavour is one looked forward to by management and staff from both organisations.

In the essence of Heineken Malaysia’s Chinese New Year campaign, “Pei Man, Pin Man, Nian Nian Man”, which directly translates as “Glass full, bottle full, whole year full” – the theme perfectly described the buoyant gathering that kicked off with the beating of drums accompanying the lively lion dance.

Upon receiving an offering of “goodies” from the lions, it was time to toss “lou sang”.

A long table with eight large plates of yee sang saw the management team from Heineken Malaysia invite theSun’s management and editorial team to toss to positive new Lunar Year.

To commemorate the momentous occasion, theSun’s management team was presented a personalised Chinese Rainbow Calligraphy art piece, skilfully painted by calligraphy masters using vibrant colours in each stroke and character, symbolising the overflowing of prosperity and success.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to wish our friends at theSun an overflowing of prosperity and togetherness in the Year of the Dog, and we hope that Heineken Malaysia’s range of award-winning brews will heighten their celebrations between colleagues, family and loved ones,” said Heineken Malaysia managing director Hans Essaadi.

“The Gods” then shared fortune cookies and mandarin oranges followed by an exciting showcase of conviviality and cheer over trivia and “thirst-after” prizes. Twenty winners walked away happily and contented with their boxes of “The Innovator’s Tasting Pack” containing an exciting variety of beer, stout and cider under the Heineken portfolio.

Among those present at the occasion were Heineken Malaysia marketing director Jiri Rakosnik, human resource director Lim Kwan-Sek, Sun Media Corporation executive director Ching Chun Keat and theSun managing editor Freddie Ng.

Extending its wishes of overflowing prosperity and success to all readers of theSun, Heineken Malaysia invites one and all to visit www.facebook.com/ TigerBeerMY to learn of its multiple activities and promotions lined up until mid-February for non-Muslims and those aged 21 and above.
