BTS celebrates CNY with kids

-

IN ushering in the Chinese New Year, Berjaya Times Square (BTS) Kuala Lumpur made a donation of foodstuff, rice, cooking oil and other daily necessities to the Bodhi Homecare Centre.

About 20 children from the home came dressed in white, arriving at the ground floor central of the mall. They were among others, invited to a festive celebration to welcome the Year of the Dog.

The young guests were thrilled on seeing the colourful interiors of the mall, featuring a heritage row of quaint-looking shops adorned with festive decorations. This is the “theme” that will welcome visitors entering the mall during the festive season.

“This Chinese New Year, we want to walk you down memory lane by providing an opportunity to experience the old Chinese culture,” said BTS executive director Koh Huey Min ( pix, centre holding child).

The “God of Prosperity” made his entrance distributing sweets and well wishes. Presentation of a hamper to Bodhi Homecare Centre’s caretaker Ng Ching Yuet ( in white, beside Koh) ensued, on behalf of the mall management.

The agenda of the day saw the children partake in “lo hei”, toss of yee sang, with the “God of Prosperity” followed with a sumptuous lunch with other guests and media. Faces of the children lit up on being led to Berjaya Times Square Theme Park, Malaysia’s largest indoor theme park with 14 major rides.
