> MSU hosts a symposium on halal research
MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) recently organised the 9th International Medical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical, and Health Sciences Symposium (iMPaCHS) at its main campus. The event carried the theme of Exploring Innovations in Halal Research – the Next Frontier.
In his speech during the launch of the symposium, MSU President Tan Sri Prof Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid urged MSUrians to look into creating a global standard for halal and making the link between applied research and commercialisation.
MSU’s partner universities worldwide contributed their findings to the symposium through e-posters.
The keynote address was delivered by the Malaysian Armed Forces Health Service Division Director of Pharmacy, Brigadier General Datuk Dr A Halim Hj Basari.
The symposium was jointly organised by the School of Pharmacy (SPH), the International Medical School (IMS), and the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS).
MSU undertakes the promotion and development of halal services and products comprising especially halal pharmaceuticals and halal cosmetics, primarily through its International Centre for Halal Studies (ICHLAS).
