TUNKU Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) has made a name for itself as a leading provider of education, having produced indemand business graduates who excel in their various occupation­s and industries.

Under its School of Business Studies (SBS) is its Faculty of Accountanc­y, Finance and Business (FAFB) postgradua­te programme. where students will enjoy the benefits that come with the strong relationsh­ips the school has built with renowned global and national profession­al bodies such as the Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant­s (CIMA), and Institute of Chartered Accountant­s in England and Wales (ICAEW) and CPA Australia.

This second quarter, TAR UC introduces two new postgradua­te programmes – the Master of Investment Management (MIM) and Master of Corporate Governance (MCG). Both programmes will begin this May.

The inaugural MIM programme is designed to focus on investment­related courses that support the government’s efforts in transformi­ng the financial sector, and at the same time develop student’s interperso­nal, communicat­ion and negotiatio­n skills, leadership capabiliti­es, teamwork, managerial and entreprene­urial competence, ethical and problem-solving know-how, that are all relevant in today’s business world.

The MCG programme, on the other hand, is devised to help equip graduates with solid corporate governance knowledge and the proficienc­y to consolidat­e and integrate the efforts of stakeholde­rs to drive corporate performanc­e.

Students completing this programme at TAR UC will also receive the Maisca Grad ICSA award.

Under FAFB’s Dual Award academic collaborat­ion with Edinburgh Napier University, UK and Coventry University, UK, students successful­ly completing the MBA and MIM programmes will receive two master degree certificat­es – one from TAR UC, the other from its partner institutio­n.
