Big Qatar Airways deals this month

QATAR AIRWAYS is offering deals of up to 60% off on fares from now till March 25. The fares are valid for travel up to Jan 31, 2019 to any of the more than 100 destinatio­ns the airline flies to in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa.

“Now is the time to start that long-awaited adventure that you have been planning but never got around to doing,” said Datuk Muzammil Mohamad, Qatar Airways country manager of Malaysia and Brunei.

“The deal caters to everyone, from leisure travellers who prefer the more popular destinatio­ns such as London and Paris, to those who like to venture to destinatio­ns less travelled, such as recently-launched Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovin­a, or Skopje in Macedonia.”

Economy class fares start from RM2,339 to Istanbul, RM2,349 to Paris, RM2,499 to Amsterdam, and RM2,709 to London, while business class fares start from RM11,269 to London, RM12,759 to Zurich, RM12,289 to Munich, and RM13,479 to Paris.

Muzammil also said that travellers in the peninsula’s northern states can now fly direct from Penang onboard Qatar Airways.

He added that with the increased flight frequencie­s from three times to four times weekly effective July 1, the airline will be able to accommodat­e the increasing demands of northern travellers.

Meanwhile, from now till April 13, MasterCard cardholder­s can enjoy an additional 5% off the fare price to selected destinatio­ns when they purchase flights online at qatarairwa­ys.com/mymasterca­rd, and up to 15% off during non-promo periods.

Qatar Airways continues to live up to its title of airline of the year (as voted by the prestigiou­s 2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards) with the rolling out of the new Airbus A350-1000 ( above) which is now operating in full commercial service on its DohaLondon route.

The new A350-1000 is fitted with Qsuite, which features the industry’s first fully lie-flat double bed, a revolution­ary quad design offering passengers a private and fully adaptable space – the first and only of its kind.

In addition, the Qsuite features movable TV monitors and privacy dividers, transformi­ng the space into an area perfect for socialisin­g.

Qsuite was first launched on the Doha-London route last summer on the B777 and was soon followed by services to Paris and New York, with service to Washington, D.C., launched just last month.
