Strength lies in being a woman

-

BY NATURE, men and women are born different. Men are traditionally seen as tougher role models, while women are gifted with tender feelings, such as kindness and compassion.

This image of women was perpetuated in times of war, where the majority of nurses were women and seen as ministering to the sick and wounded with compassionate and care.

While the two genders share feelings of tolerance, and qualities of giving sustenance, women nowadays need to remind themselves that they must maintain their inner belief of upholding these virtues.

The time has come for women to realise their full potential. They can stop the falling standards and reverse the process of moral degradation.

Some women laugh and scorn at talk of tolerance, accommodation and adjustment; they say that these are weaknesses.

Some think that drinking, telling dirty jokes and smoking are the ‘in’ things needed to climb the corporate ladder. But in the long-term, women who display these qualities will lose respect as they are seen as mere imitations of men.

Why the need to imitate men? Women should instead enhance and develop their feminine strength.

Ask yourself questions to unlock your hidden gems: What am I good at? What are my strengths and special qualities?

What can people rely on me for? How do I make others happy? What is my nature like? How have I overcome challenges?

To give others happiness, and offering a word of solace is a great act of charity. Your positive thoughts will support others, enabling them to face adverse situations in life.
