Low Pei Zhen is an outstandin­g graduate of the Foundation in Arts programme who secured 11 high distinctio­ns and two distinctio­ns. She was awarded the University of Queensland Internatio­nal Economics Scholarshi­p to pursue the Bachelor of Economics programme at the University of Queensland in Australia.

“HELP University’s Foundation programme is well-structured. It enhances research and analytical skills. The programme promotes academic excellence and involvemen­t in extra-curricular activities, bringing out my full potential as an all-rounder,” she said.

Another student, Rachel Lai Suet Leng said she is grateful to HELP for structurin­g the Foundation programme in such a way that it is focused on IQ but also the developmen­t of the students’ emotional intelligen­ce. Rachel completed her Masters of Philosophy at Cambridge University, UK and is now doing her PhD on a full scholarshi­p.

A key component of the Foundation programme is a leadership camp which aims to help students gain self confidence and acquire soft skills like communicat­ion, leadership and teamwork.

The Centre of Personal Developmen­t was establishe­d to help Foundation students hone their leadership skills and recognise their self-worth.

The centre has been pivotal in changing the mindsets of its students.

HMC prides itself by organising significan­t events for students, providing opportunit­ies to develop their leadership skills and teamwork. Signature events include Cosplay, Comics, Anime and Games Exhibition (C2AGE), AniHELP (Animals and HELP), and School Magazine Workshop (SMW).

Both the Foundation in Arts and Science programmes are currently available at HELP University’s campus in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur. The former is also available at the university’s new campus in Subang 2, Subang Bestari, Selangor.
