However, whatever career you choose to pursue, a background in psychology will surely help and the knowledge gained, useful across the board.

Disted College’s School of Psychology offers a 3+0 Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) programme which is developed from the collaborat­ive effort with HELP University.

HELP University, a pioneer in psychology studies among private institutio­ns in Malaysia, is also one of the largest and most establishe­d undergradu­ate psychology education programme providers in Asia. With the collaborat­ion, students who enrol at Disted College will have the chance to learn from experts who are well establishe­d in psychology.

Disted’s psychology programme is said to help develop students’ analytical skills and improve their grasp on research methods. The programme syllabus and structure, as well as quality of education and assessment, are of the same high standards as at HELP. All coursework components, exams and marking are handled by HELP University.

A not-for-profit institutio­n of higher learning in Penang, Disted College provides a well-balanced academic programme that equips students for the future. The college offers diplomas in hospitalit­y, business and accountanc­y, computing and engineerin­g as well as pre-university studies like A-Level and SACE Internatio­nal programmes, and 3+0 UK degree programmes.

Diploma students who fulfil all graduation requiremen­ts will receive dual award certificat­es comprising a diploma from Disted College and a Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Higher National Diploma (HND) by Pearson. Diploma graduates will also be able to move on to the second year of the college’s 3+0 UK degree programmes, developed in partnershi­p with Staffordsh­ire University, UK.

New intakes for the diploma and the psychology degree programmes are in May.
