Double down on the dual-ended mascara trend

"DOUBLE TROUBLE" is the name of the game when it comes to mascaras for maximum impact make-up. Here are five of the newest to add to your radar.

Urban Decay Urban Decay's Team Special Effect Colored Mascara, which launched just weeks ago, puts colour front and centre, with a series of four duo-hued shades ranging from fuchsia to sea green. Each tube features a cream shade on one side and a shimmering, metallic colour on the other, with a fifth mascara boasting two metallic shades – silver and gold – in one go.

Body Shop Beauty favourite The Body Shop recently unveiled its new “Lash Hero Fibre Extension Mascara” – a two-step product comprising a base layer and a lengthening layer, for extra flutter. Available in classic black, as well as a topaz blue and emerald green.

Popsugar Media brand Popsugar launched its own cosmetics line, “Beauty by Popsugar”, this month, and it includes the extremely on-trend “Thick + Thin Mascara”. The double-ended product provides two brushes – one for increasing volume and length, and a smaller one for definition and sparse bottom lashes.

L'Oreal Paris The new "Voluminous X Fiber Mascara" from L'Oreal Paris comes in three different shades of black and features a primer and a fiber section to build volume and length at the same time.

Lorac Lorac's new "Royal Treatment Primer & Mascara Duo" features a bright blue primer, which, once the volumising black top coat has been applied, results in a beguiling blue-black finish. According to the brand, this is designed to make eyes appear "lighter and brighter than ever". – AFP Relaxnews
