LIFE is not perfect for twins Carys and Andreus in the kingdom of Eden, even if they are royalty.

But with an older brother next in line to inherit the throne, the future of the kingdom is secure and they are happy to do what they do best – keeping each other’s secrets and each other safe from the court of scheming noblemen as well as from the monsters lurking in the mountains beyond the kingdom’s walls.

But when the king and crown prince are killed by assassins, it is imperative that a new king be found as soon as possible. But the line of succession is no longer clear.

Now, the twins are forced to take part in a Trial of Succession that will determine which one of them is worthy of ruling the kingdom.

Of course, certain factions would much prefer they both lose so they may place their own on the throne.

Although Carys had pledged to help Andreus, the trial really tests their bonds of trust. As tension rises and suspicions drive the twins apart, it is no longer clear as to whose thirst for power will lead to the ultimate betrayal and triumph.

Dividing Eden is the first of a twobook series and has all the ingredients for a gripping tale that will make it difficult to put the book down.

I hate to say this – since I have always disliked sequels – but I am actually looking forward to book two. There are just too many interesting questions that need answering and, all right I admit it, I thoroughly enjoyed book one. – K.K. Wong
