Six celebritie­s making their mark on Shopee

E-COMMERCE platform Shopee recently introduced its Shopee Celebrity Squad at a buka puasa event to make Raya shopping that more interestin­g.

The celebrity squad comprises singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin with her skincare and cosmetics line SimplySiti, actress Nora Danish who offers a modern twist to Muslim fashion apparel in her brand Owl, actress Izara Aishah with her lip wear brand Madame Izara, actress Elfira Loy presenting her traditiona­l Muslim apparel, actress Heliza Guzel Hive with her Muslim shawl collection as well as actress-model Emma Maembong with her skincare line EMBS.

Shopee regional managing director Ian Ho said: “With an increasing number of celebritie­s launching their own brands, we began to notice a rising demand for their products among users.

“Hence, we decided to launch the Shopee Celebrity Squad, a dedicated in-app space featuring a variety of celebrity brands, allowing shoppers to enjoy easy access to products sold by their favourite celebritie­s at the click of a button.

“In line with the launch, we also promise shoppers exclusive deals and special discounts across the celebritie­s’ collection­s.”

Shopee customers will be able to enjoy special weekly Celebrity Squad campaigns, featuring notto-be-missed deals and activities.

These include the launch of SimplySiti New Gold Edition range, with soft-focus technology and gold dust which will be available only on Shopee.

Siti, who has been selling her products on Shopee for three years now, said she is happy with the platform that Shopee provides for her products.

Elfira, who just got onboard with Shopee this year, added: “It is efficient and everything is affordable. It suits my brand which is affordable, that’s why I chose Shopee as a platform to sell my products.”

Fans can also look forward to a series of Shopee’s community events and giveaways that include meet-and-greet sessions with the celebritie­s, as well as prizes to be won in social media contests.

Check out too the Shopee Cahaya Raya campaign, which is on till June 17, where prizes worth more than RM1.5 million are up for grabs in its exciting in-app games.
