Perfect pairings with Heineken

-

IN conjunction with the Harvest Festival in Sabah and Sarawak, Heineken Malaysia curated a special food pairing menu, matching its iconic beers, stouts and ciders with the exciting flavours of traditional Kadazandusun and Dayak cuisine.

“During the Harvest Festival, we want to celebrate through good food and good beer. The accentuating notes and flavours of our portfolio can make a good meal great. With this event, we hope to share a whole new way of experiencing traditional flavours on a plate,” said Heineken Malaysia corporate communications manager Ng Eng Kiat.

The traditional Kadazandusun dishes were prepared by food vendors during the Ka’amatan Festival event held at Balai Raya Kampung Koidupan. Meanwhile, the Dayak dishes were prepared by Livan Lah, owner and chef at Lepau Restaurant in Kuching.

Dishes were carefully selected and paired to match flavour profiles, textures and aromas between the dishes and Heineken’s portfolio of lagers, stouts and ciders.

In conjunction with the Gawai & Ka’amatan Festivals, Heineken Malaysia introduced various promotions with rewards for its 100% duty paid products made available at leading supermarkets, restaurants and bars.

“Choosing 100% duty-paid beer, stout and cider is key to allowing us to deliver on our promise of quality drinks. We want our consumers to enjoy the best with guaranteed authenticity,” Ng said.

To identify the 100% duty-paid products, look out for the company name, address and the 955 barcode on all packaging of Heineken Malaysia brands including Heineken, Tiger, Guinness, Strongbow, Apple Fox Cider and Anchor.
