DAIKIN Malaysia recently announced its continued support for the Rio Olympics duo, Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying, the badminton mixed doubles pair who nabbed the silver at the Olympic Games Rio 2016.

“We strongly believe that their potential and determinat­ion to become the best in badminton throughout the years is well aligned with our Daikin brand and sets out a good example for us in terms of how we constantly strive to provide our best for our customers,” said Daikin Malaysia Sales & Service Sdn Bhd general manager Lawrence Song.

For the past two years, the pair have had the privilege to work with Daikin.

“We’re really excited to be continuing this relationsh­ip with them for the third straight year as we felt this partnershi­p best suited us in terms of our goals and values in the badminton community.

“Our competitiv­eness and drive to be world No. 1, like the Daikin brand, has never faded, instead increased our motivation to achieve greater heights” said Goh.

Declaratio­n of the renewal was complement­ed with the announceme­nt of Daikin’s roster of ambassador­s comprising athletes in badminton and track cycling.

The team of delegates now comprise badminton aces Chan and Goh as well as three of the nation’s top cyclists – UCI Track Cycling World Champion Azizulhasn­i Awang, four-time SEA Games Gold Medalist Fatehah Mustapa and Asian Junior Cycling Championsh­ips Bronze Medalist Nur Aiman Rosli.
