-

RETURNING for the 31st time, Leo Burnett Malaysia recently held its annual Cannes Prediction in Kuala Lumpur City Centre for 2018’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

With a track record for its 85% accurate predictions and its strong chance of winning, the widely-awaited advertising industry prediction screening event saw 250 guests in attendance.

“Every year, we look forward to Cannes Predictions where the most creative, innovative and bold campaigns are celebrated. With the industry shifting to a more collaborative world, the ideas and creativity are flourishing better than ever and making a significant mark for clients” said Publicis One Malaysia CEO Tan Kien Eng.

Curated by Leo Burnett Worldwide executive chairman and global CEO Mark Tutssel, the Cannes Prediction list this year comprised 20 contenders. The brand work showcased reflected global trends that are fuelling the industry: “Episodes lead to Epic”, “Human Storytelling”, “Visual Spectacular”, “Topical & Tactical” and “Spontaneity & Personalisation”.

“More than looking at it from just a business perspective, the campaigns seen were a good showcase on creativity aspiring positive society changes.

“At Leo Burnett, our Humankind core philosophy has always been built on this aspect; transforming human behaviour and provoking meaningful thoughts and acts through creativity,” continued Tan.
