Babysitter’s remand extended
KUALA LUMPUR: The Selayang magistrate’s court yesterday extended for another seven days the remand order on a woman in connection with the death of a five-month-old baby, Adam Rayqal Mohd Sufi.
The order issued by magistrate Nurul Izzah Hasan Basri will start today.
The 33-year-old babysitter and another woman, 36, were remanded for a week last Wednesday to facilitate investigations into the death of the baby.
The boy was reported missing from the babysitter’s house last Tuesday. His body was found in the freezer compartment of a fridge at the house by police.
A post-mortem at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital revealed that Adam Rayqal died due to severe head injuries from blunt force trauma. – Bernama
