GFM’S UNIT WINS AWARD FROM PWD

PETALING JAYA: GFM Services Bhd’s unit Global Facilities Management Sdn Bhd has won the Public Works Department’s (PWD) “Excellent Contractor Award” for building facility management services at the Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigratio­n and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex in Johor Baru. The CIQ Complex acts as a main transporta­tion hub between Singapore and Malaysia, housing various government agencies including the immigratio­n and customs checkpoint for land vehicles with the capacity to handle 70 million visitors annually. The award is accorded annually to the winning contractor measured against a stringent set of criteria pre-determined by PWD in terms of quality of work, timely delivery and consistent performanc­e. The award is aimed at recognisin­g companies with best practices to further promote and elevate the industry’s standards in Malaysia.
