‘Dazed’ driver causes scare

PETALING JAYA: A 79-year-old man, who is believed to be in ill-health, drove his car in a hazardous manner for several kilometres on Tuesday, endangering himself and other road users.
An unidentified motorist recorded a video of the incident, beginning at the Kerinchi link of the Sprint Highway, that showed the vehicle driven by the senior citizen colliding with another vehicle and a concrete wall on the highway at about 2.15pm.
The video, that has been widely shared on social media, also showed a concerned motorcyclist pursuing the driver while shouting out and gesturing for him to stop.
The driver, who appeared to be delirious, exited to the Federal Highway heading towards Shah Alam and continued weaving in and out of traffic dangerously.
His vehicle then collided with a car, narrowly missing several other vehicles.
He pulled over shortly after near the Amcorp Mall building after being flagged down by passing traffic policeman. The man, who was in a daze, purportedly suffers from hypotension (low blood pressure). RM (Raised so far)
