MOVE TO STRIKE OUT ELECTION PETITION

KUALA LUMPUR: Cameron Highlands MP Datuk C. Sivarraajh has applied to strike out an election petition filed by PKR candidate M. Manogaran to nullify the 14th general election result for that parliamentary seat. Counsel Nik Alia Hanafi, who represented Sivarraajh, told reporters that her client filed the application to strike out the petition yesterday, and July 19 was fixed for further case management. “The court also fixed Sept 3 to 20 for the hearing of the election petition,” she said. – Bernama
