Four new dining options in the city
HERE are four restaurants and cafés, all located at Plaza Arkadia and The Waterfront in the self-contained township of Desa ParkCity, for foodies on the lookout for something new.
1. Anther & Stigma Floral Café This florist-café brings floral blooms and wholesome food together under one roof in a relaxing atmosphere.
Dine amidst greenery that is perfect for the ultimate Instagram-worthy flat lays.
We recommend the signature salted gula Melaka granola bowl soaked in fresh milk and topped with assorted fruits to start your day with a different kind of crunch.
Anther & Stigma offers flowers and gifts services, as well as an event space.
2. Uncle Tom This resto-bar offers quintessential Malaysian delicacies with a touch of MalaccanPortuguese influence.
When you’re in-between breakfast and lunch, Uncle Tom’s chicken waffle is the way to go. If not, opt for the bacon fried rice or char kuey teow.
Apart from the usual tap beer, try the thirstquenching ice-cold mojito or sangria.
On selected days, enjoy music from a local band to add vibe to your dining experience.
3. Poseidon Caviar & Seafood Bar Sample some of the freshest seafood straight from the ocean, served with unprecedented quality and flavours at Poseidon.
Here, you’ll find curated selections of seafood including fish, prawns, lobsters, oysters, mussels and delicacies.
And then, there is caviar. Delicate eggs of a sturgeon packing a savoury yet complex body of flavours which go perfectly with champagne, vodka or white wines.
4. A Café by Kenny Hills Bakers This outlet recreates the ambience of Kenny Hills’ two pioneering sister outlets in Bukit Tunku, but with a larger interior space and wider food selection.
The café brings along more than freshlybaked goods. The Lafayette needs no introduction to regular patrons, featuring a poached egg nestled on a bed of smoked salmon and spinach with Hollandaise sauce all sandwiched between a hot butter croissant.
Make sure you also try the Beef Wellington and Duck Confit & Waffle for a burst of flavours that will leave you coming back for more. – Jason Lim
