Equanimity arrives in Port Klang
PORT KLANG: The US$250 million ( RM1 bi l l i on) s uper yacht
which is linked to fugitive Malaysian businessman Low Taek Jho, docked at the Boustead Cruise Centre Terminal here at around 1 pm after an approximately 18-hour journey from Batam, Indonesia.
The luxury yacht was escorted on its way here by three Malaysian marine police patrol boats.
Earlier, before the yacht docked, several officers and personnel from the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) were seen walking towards the centre’s jetty.
Among those spotted in the crowd were 1 Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) task force member Datuk Abdul Hamid Bador, who is also Bukit Aman Special Branch director, and Port Klang marine police commanding officer DSP Mohd Khairuddin Jamal.
The yacht was then inspected by several High Court officers.
The yacht reportedly had 17 crew members on board including the captain who is from Norway.
was built in the Netherlands by Oceanco and delivered in 2014.
At 91.5m, the luxury yacht is almost the length of a football field.
Her top speed is 19.5kn and her power comes from two 4,828hp MTU 2 0 V4000M73 d i e s e l engines.
