Tactical and technical apparel from Camel Active
CAMEL ACTIVE brought a new retail experience – along with its latest Denim Collection – to urbanites at its pop-up store at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur during the recent 2018 CarSifu Autoshow.
At the pop-up store, visitors were introduced to the latest in-store retail technology using the Magic Mirror app, which presents an augmented reality dressing room, interactive styling guide, and other features to share on social media.
There were also on-site activities for visitors, including a claw-machine with attractive prizes to be won – from the grand prize of a RM3,000 cash voucher to backpacks, shirts and shoes – as well as complimentary airbrush tattoos inspired by the edgy side of the Denim Collection.
The Camel Active Denim Collection speaks to the young and confident modern man who enjoys urban outdoor activities. Coupled with a strong personality, his character represents the true individualism of an urban explorer ready to discover the unexpected as well as unusual encounters.
Inspired by modernised 1980s retro references, the Denim Collection merges the past, present, and distant future through its clean styles and sophisticated washes, as well as updated silhouettes from boxy to oversized, shorter, and sportier looks.
Garments come in shades of black, grey, green, and white, and incorporate playful motifs of nautical stripes and camouflage print. Pieces, including an indigo bomber jacket, polo T-shirt, and long-sleeved shirt, add a newness to the wardrobe.
The collection also features a throwback to the 1950s, with pieces like a heavy-washed worker jacket to match heavy acid-washed denim jeans, or garment-dyed cargo pants.
The men’s footwear department offers a range of knitted sneakers, retro running shoes in a combination of mesh and suede, and sailinginspired sneakers with a leather upper and rubber outsole.
Similarly, bags are significantly less bulky to carry around. One striking piece is a versatile configuration that transforms from a backpack to a parka jacket, taking functionality to a different level.
Small leather goods comprise wallets in colour blocking and sporty stripes, and are made of waterresistant material and raw leather.
