MAS named Matta Fair official airline for second year
GEORGE TOWN: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is once again the official airline for the Malaysian Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair for a second year.
The fair, scheduled to take place at the SPICE arena from Sept 28 to 30, offers visitors discounts of up to 30% for MAS business and economy class from participating travel agents.
The airline’s sister company Firefly is offering 20% discounts for all flights and up to 40% for group bookings.
MAS head of sales Roslan Ismail told reporters that visitors who book their trip on the airline will also stand a chance to win sponsored prizes through lucky draws.
For this year’s Matta Fair Penang Buyers’ Contest, MAS will sponsor two business class tickets to Fuzhou, China and two economy class tickets to Surabaya, Indonesia.
“Visitors can also win tickets from Firefly to Phuket, Bandar Aceh, Langkawi, Subang and Kota Baru.
“The national carrier’s involvement also celebrates its long-term relationship with Matta, two national brands working together to bring great value for travellers, “he said.
Matta honorary secretarygeneral Nigel Wong said the opportunity for collaboration on attractive fares to many destinations including Asean markets will be an added value to consumers’ holiday packages.
The fair offers travellers a variety of value-for-money domestic and international packages from over 60 Matta members and organisations.
