Art of vaastu & feng shui

MANY homes experience bad feng shui in the form of arguments, lack of financial support and lots of stress which, in turn, lead to unhappiness, bad relationships, and dwindling marriage prospects for the young men and women in the family.

Many a time, finding a suitable partner or alliance may not be too difficult. But to hold on to the relationship and take it towards a life-time commitment through marriage could get difficult.

This may be due to many reasons, one of them being lack of finance. Activating good energy in specific sectors of the home will help to ensure that the flow of wealth is not hindered or blocked.

To encourage a good energy flow in your money area, focus on the Southeast sector of your home and living area. The Southeast represents the Wood element, hence one can strengthen the energy of money and wealth through these simple feng shui money tips:

Place healthy, lush green plants in the Southeast corner of the living room and the garden.

A clean water feature or even an image of a waterfall at the Southeast sector also helps.

Decorate the Southeast sector of the house in colours of blue, green and brown. These are the colours of the Wood and Water elements.

Once the wealth matter has been taken care of through the use of these feng shui remedies, next you must counter disagreements and arguments, as well as quell any lack of understanding which is delaying decision making, by identifying the cause of such negative influences.

Frequent arguments at home will make the occupants feel depressed, and cause irritation which is like constantly wearing an uncomfortable pair of shoes, or clothing that does not fit.

After some time, this starts to irritate and bother the person. No matter how hard one may try to suppress this negative energy, sooner or later, the person will just burst out in anger.

From the feng shui perspective, the house is referred to as the third skin (clothing being considered your second skin, energywise). The way you choose your clothing intelligently in order to make yourself comfortable and, in turn, make your personal energy flow freely and harmoniously, is similar to the choices you make for your home which will decide the quality of the energy within.

As our personal energy is connected to everything around us, we are influenced and affected by our immediate surroundings.

There are no real, strict boundaries in the world of energy – this is why good feng shui in any space is so important.

A good feng shui house nurtures the energy. Hence, try and improve your personal energy, which can then contribute towards a better house energy.

Do this by first fixing all the feng shui challenges that are the cause of current tensions.

Then, focus on your breathing every time you are in conflict. Choose to express, if not love, at least a sense of calm and neutrality. Above all, smile, and trust that things will get better.

By keeping in mind both of these points while working on the feng shui of your house, I promise you will create beautiful, long-lasting results in your relationship.

Later on, you might even be grateful for this house, because it helped change some unconscious emotional patterns that were standing in your way of a loving relationship.
