Grow in spiritual powers and virtues

-

THE NUMBER zero plays a key role in mathematics. Zero is also referred to as ‘nought’ or ‘nil’, but it is by no means a worthless number.

When we place the zero beside a number, the value of the number increases 10-fold.

What this tells us is that the greater our worth, the more we can achieve with less effort.

In other words, as our worth increases, so does our potential to expand ourselves.

This applies to our spiritual life as well. Spiritually-enlightened souls are able to touch the lives of many. “Have the unique ability to see the value of every moment, the power of every thought and the beauty of every soul.”

Their words usually have a profound effect on others, while the same words, spoken by someone else, sound ordinary.

The inner power of spiritual leaders is accumulated through years of meditation, study and personal effort.

The greater their powers, the more impactful will be the change they bring to the world.

We can light up the lives of others and serve them only to the extent that we have a store of spiritual powers and virtues.

If I am just pretending to be peaceful and loving, others are not going to experience these qualities from me.

I may be able to impress a few people for some time, but it will not last.

But when I develop my inner resources, be it peace, truth, happiness, or compassion, they will be naturally expressed through my face, words and behaviour.

I will not only be complete and content myself, but will also have enough to give to others.

Success will then come easily, as my virtues will speak for me and I do not need to argue or labour to convince others.

This is the secret to increasing one’s fortune.
