PPBM dissolves all NS branches

-

PETALING JAYA: All Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) divisions in Negri Sembilan and two divisions in Selangor have been dissolved, said party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin ( pix).

He said veteran politician Tan Sri Rais Yatim and Kuala Pilah MP Eddin Syazlee Shith have been appointed to help reorganise the party in Negri Sembilan following a series of problems.

He said a new list of office-bearers will be released within the next few days, leaving no gap between the dissolving of the divisions and appointing of new leaders.

“The decision was based on a provision in the party constitution and the advice of the Registrar of Societies, and this would make way for fresh appointments at the branch and division levels,” Muhyiddin said at a press conference yesterday.

He said the party felt that this was the best approach in resolving the problems affecting these divisions.

On the two divisions in Selangor – Ampang and Subang – he said top leadership had also picked this method to sort out their problems.

The dissolution of the Negri Sembilan divisions comes two days before the nomination of PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for the Port Dickson by-election, seen as the launchpad for his parliamentary comeback. – by Rajvinder Singh
