THE SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch was first unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note9 Unpacked event last month. This highly-anticipated smartwatch is now in Malaysia.

It promises the best of the Galaxy ecosystem with its longlasting battery life, wellness capabilities, and a timeless design.

“With the Galaxy Watch, users can now accomplish more in their busy lives – and still look and feel good throughout the day,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics president Yoonsoo Kim.

“The Galaxy Watch is not only a more powerful and longlasting wrist assistant, it is also equipped with new stress- and sleep-monitoring capabilities, and is also available with a more robust line-up to suit an individual’s style.”

Galaxy Watch’s improved battery life promises up to 80+ hours of typical usage on the 46mm model, and 45 hours of regular usage on the 42mm model.

This eliminates the need for daily charging and helps consumers keep up with their busy week.

Users can also start and end their day with morning and evening briefings to help stay on top of reminders, the weather, and their latest schedule – all via the Galaxy Watch. Delivering a holistic health experience, the Galaxy Watch is equipped with a new stress-management tracker, which automatically detects high levels of stress and offers breathing exercises to alleviate it. Additionally, a newlyadvanced sleep tracker monitors all levels of sleep, including REM cycles, to help users adjust sleeping habits. Galaxy Watch adds 21 new indoor exercises, tracking a total of 39 workouts that allow consumers to customise and change up their routines. On top of that, the Galaxy Watch makes it easier than ever to track users nutrition intake with intuitive calorie tracking and personalised alerts. Users can also stay on track of their meals using Bixby Vision on their Galaxy device. Just take a photo of each meal and it instantly logs nutritional information in Samsung Health and on Galaxy Watch for better calorie management. Galaxy Watch comes in two sizes. The 46mm version is available in silver while the 42mm comes in black or rose gold. Users can further customise their Galaxy Watch with a selection of watch faces and straps including options from Braloba, a manufacturer of highquality watch straps. Fans of Samsung’s smartwatches will immediately recognise its trademark circular, rotating bezel and be introduced to the new Always on Display, in addition to improved usability. Galaxy Watch features analogue watch ticks for watch faces with an hour and second hand, hourly chimes, and a depth effect that casts shadows defining every detail on the watch face to emulate the look, feel, and the sound of a traditional wristwatch. For durability, the Galaxy Watch is certified militarylevel with Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ and industry-leading water resistance with a 5ATM. With Galaxy Watch comes all the benefits from the Galaxy Ecosystem creating a seamless experience with SmartThings, Samsung Health, Samsung Flow, Samsung Knox, Samsung Pay, and Bixby along with partnerships like Spotify and Under Armour.

Samsung makes music and multimedia control even easier on Galaxy Watch with Spotify allowing users to listen to songs offline or without a smartphone with Spotify Offline mode, in addition to keeping information secure with Samsung Knox and easily unlocking PCs or tablets using Samsung Flow.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch is available now for RM1,299 for the 46mm version and RM1,199 for the 42mm version.
