Chronology of repatriation of Malaysians from Wuhan
Jan 29:
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Malaysia is prepared to bring back its citizens from Wuhan, on approval by the Chinese government.
Jan 30:
A special committee coordinated by the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma), with cooperation from the Foreign Ministry, Health Ministry, Malaysian Armed Forces and the National Security Council, was setup to evacuate Malaysians from Hubei province.

Once World Health Organisation director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared a global health emergency, Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said Nadma began repatriation plans following the Cabinet’s decision.
Jan 31:
Malaysian Ambassador to China Raja Datuk Nushirwan Zainal Abidin identified 117 Malaysians in Hubei province and surrounding areas for repatriation.
Feb 1:
The Malaysian Embassy in Beijing sent a team to Wuhan to coordinate and assist in the homecoming process.
Feb 2:
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the mission to bring Malaysians home from China on a special AirAsia flight was to be accompanied by six Health Ministry officials, one Nadma officer, one Foreign Ministry official and 12 flight crew members.
Feb 3:
AirAsia’s special aircraft AK8264 departed klia2 at 3.50pm, carrying 500,000 rubber gloves as a contribution to the Chinese government.
Feb 4:
AirAsia flew home the entourage, which included 107 Malaysians, their spouses and children, and landed safely at klia2 at 6am. At 8.05am the first batch of Malaysians, from the plane were ferried by bus to the Air Disaster Unit for health screening. Passengers, including crew members, were sent to a monitoring centre at the Higher Education Leadership Academy in Bandar Enstek, Nilai, Negri Sembilan in four buses. Two individuals who did not pass health screening were sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital. – Bernama
