Embassy, consulates-general staff maintained in China
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Embassy and Consulates-General in China will maintain its number of employees to sustain their continuous and effective operations.
The Malaysian Embassy in China said in a statement yesterday that the move was particularly to support Malaysian nationals following the virus outbreak in Wuhan and elsewhere in China.
“Malaysian nationals in China can contact the embassy in Beijing or the nearest Malaysian Consulates-General in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kunming, Nanning, Xi’an and Hong Kong,” it said.
Malaysians living in Beijing, Hubei, Tianjin, Henan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Qinghai, Shandong, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and Tibet Autonomous Region can contact the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing at +861065322531 (office hours) or +8613161219838/+8618513665810 (emergency).
Those living in Shanghai, Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang can contact the Consulate-General in Shanghai at +862160900360 (office hours)/+8613761154009 (emergency).
For Malaysians in Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, Hunan and Jiangxi, Wisma Putra representatives can be contacted through the ConsulateGeneral in Guangzhou at +862038770763 (office hours)/ +8618802087683 (emergency).
