KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs seized 1,750 counterfeit face masks during an operation in Puchong recently. Its enforcement director Datuk Iskandar Halim Sulaiman said a 30-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of selling the face masks online. “Four enforcement officers posed as buyers and contacted the seller, which led them to the location where the face masks were packaged. “The operation was carried out after a report was lodged by the owner of the Cross Protection brand face mask, upon suspecting that the goods sold online were fake,“Iskandar said. – Bernama
