Bruno reveals Pogba advice

-

MANCHESTER UNITED star Bruno Fernandes has revealed how Paul Pogba helped him score against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Red Devils duo flourished as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side continued their charge towards the Premier League top four with a fine offensive display. And Fernandes’ goal was the gloss on a positive afternoon for the Red Devils.

Fernandes curled home a stunning free-kick and told BT Sport on the role Pogba played in the goal.

“This is one thing the coach always says. He always talks to me about this, about putting another wall,” Fernandes said.

“Paul knows the keeper or he thinks the keeper can suffer on his side. I trusted him and I scored.

“Sometimes you need to do your own thing but sometimes if you listen to your team-mates can help you and help the team and Paul in that moment, he helps me.”

Solskjaer was delighted with Fernandes’ goal, saying after the win: “What a goal and Bruno’s free-kick of course! Anto (Anthony

Martial) has done that before, but today was a sweet strike and he’s just got to 20.

“Marcus (Rashford) got to

20, so the two of them can settle down a little bit with that and don’t have to chase that next goal, because that is a milestone for everyone. “Well we know that they (Rashford, Martial and Mason Greenwood) can score goals, we know that they’ve got pace, energy, they’re youthful, they’ll learn, they’ll improve and, of course, with the players that we have that can provide the passes with Paul (Pogba) and Bruno and the creativity that we’ve got in the team now is exciting.

“They are working towards one common goal and we are trying to get as high as possible in the table.

“That’s one of the positive things about those forwards, they’re good friends and they keep challenging each other.” – Express Newspapers
