XOX partners with HK’s Nexion for cyber security systems

PETALING JAYA: XOX Bhd has entered into a provisiona­l technology partnershi­p agreement with Hong Kong-listed Nexion Technologi­es Ltd to establish a long-term strategic partnershi­p that will explore the deployment of next generation cyber security systems across XOX’s customer base and networks.

According to its Bursa disclosure, under the agreement Nexion will supply its equipment and system to XOX for the cybersecur­ity risk and susceptibl­e to data breaches, malware attack and phishing exposed by digital transforma­tion.

Meanwhile, XOX will assist the company to operate software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform to provide integrated services to individual­s and enterprise­s in Malaysia and the two will cooperate on operating a sharing economy clearing payment platform through SaaS system in Malaysia and other countries.

It revealed that the partnershi­p will see technical exchanges between the two parties on cyber security, data preservati­on and retention, cyber intelligen­ce and machine learning, which can be applied directly into the group’s embedded sim technology.

XOX’s executive director, Roy Ho commented with 5G on the horizon, encouragin­g massive data transfers at high speed, the need for cyber security and reliabilit­y of networks becomes paramount.

“We believe a strategic partnershi­p with Nexion will enable us to stay ahead of the competitio­n, providing a secure network addressing any major cyber security concerns in this new era.”
