PETALING JAYA: Milux Corp signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Petrofac EPS Sdn Bhd to collaborate to participate in tendering process for the operations and maintenance projects and training services in Malaysia.

Petrofac EPS is principally engaged in the business of providing operations, maintenance, project management and business development services to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

It added that the MoU and collaboration will serve as a platform for the company to tap into the reputation, experiences and standing of Petrofac EPS in its quest to diversify its business to include operations and maintenance projects in Malaysia.

“Milux’s role in the initial period will be in providing training services. It will in collaboration with Petrofac EPS or other parties to upskill its technical staff to become training providers to develop and train more locals to undertake the maintenance jobs in the oil and gas industry which is highly labour intensive and currently dependent on foreign labour,” it said.

Bhd to jointly participate in the tendering for the job as a comprehensive operations, repairs and maintenance contractor of regasification terminal plant (RGT2) for Petronas.
