ORGANISED by Deromp Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd, the drive-in cinema CineDrive is currently taking place until Sept 27 at the 1Utama Shopping Centre Outdoor Parking area. Amongst the already large roster of films, there will also be local favourites.

“With the current implementation of strict social distancing guidelines, we were looking to create a platform that provides a safe and wholesome outing experience for the whole family, without putting them at risk of contracting anything,” said Deromp Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd CEO William Lim.

“With the drive-in cinema, families can now truly immerse themselves in their favourite movies, while enjoying the company of their loved ones in the comfort of their own vehicles.”

At 16x7 metres, CineDrive boasts the largest digital screen ever at a Malaysian drive-in cinema, with crystal clear visuals regardless of where cars are positioned.

Moviegoers heading to CineDrive will be required to stay inside their cars at all times, while the audio is fed directly through their respective audio system via a special radio frequency which will be provided upon entry.

Accommodating a maximum of 200 cars per show time, CineDrive will air two movies on weekdays at 6pm and 9.30pm respectively, while weekends will see an additional show time at 9.30am, specifically catered for families with children.

Tickets are priced at RM80++ per vehicle, which will include one large popcorn and two drinks. There will be no limitations on the number of pax per vehicle, provided it is within the legal passenger capacity of the vehicle.

Among the movies in the CineDrive line-up are Paskal, Wira,

Fight lah! Kopitiam,Pengabdi Setan, Detective Pikachu, Birds of Prey, Aquaman, Ferdinand, Crazy Rich Asians, 300, Logan, Oceans Eleven, The Greatest Showman, Matrix, Mad Max, Ford vs Ferrari, The Lego Movie 2, Joker, Alita, Spies in Disguise, Spiderman and The Conjuring.
