Gen V mourns Perdomo

APPEARING on the first season of Amazon Prime Video’s Gen V last year as one of the show’s breakout young stars, actor Chance Perdomo passed away on March 30 after being involved in a motorcycle accident.

On Gen V alongside a cast of equally talented actors, Perdomo played a young superhero that could control and manipulate metal through magnetism.

The series was a spinoff to Prime Video’s successful The Boys antisuperhero series.

Following the news of the accident, most of Perdomo’s fellow Gen V cast members were silent, until actress Lizzie Broadway broke the silence earlier this month with a personally penned post on her Instagram.

“Remembering my beloved friend and cast mate Perdomo, whose passing has left a profound void in my heart.

“Perdomo possessed so many interpersonal gifts that I treasured deeply,” said Broadway, who plays Emma Meyer on the show, with the superhuman ability to shrink or grow in size.

“He was a vital part of my growth as an individual, his gentle spirit lifting me up when I needed it most. To me, he was and always will be my superhero.”

On April 2, a handful of the other main cast members shared a joint statement on their Instagram, saying they were grieving the shocking loss.

“We will remember the special moments we had together, his infectious smile that could light up any room, his warm hugs and the authenticity he carried with him always,” shared Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Broadway, Sean Patrick Thomas and more. The actors also included photos they took of Perdomo behind the scenes of the first season’s production.

Perdomo’s death came several days before production and filming was planned to begin on Gen V’s second season, which has now been delayed indefinitely with his passing.
