MITA discusses better ways to improve interactions between businesses and Government
As part of the ongoing consultation process regarding the Green Paper on Mobile Government, MITA has organised a round table discussion with businesses to gather their feedback about their preferred means of interaction with Government.
There are various instances where businesses have to make use of public services. For this reason, it is important to have easily accessible services, which make it possible for commercial entities to take better care of their personal, professional and commercial interests.
Government is committed in providing better services, through the use of new and innovative procedures which are modern, flexible and less bureaucratic. Through these sessions, MITA is gathering the necessary feedback, from which it will then articulate and publish a Mobile Government Strategy by the end of this year.
During this session, business representatives gave their views about various aspects of the green paper, such as the take up of electronic and mobile services, the implementation of the strategy and the extent to which Government services should be engineered or modified to be accessible on mobile devices. Transactions, authentication methods and guidelines were also considered.
