EC English Language Centres shortlisted for prestigious award

-

Maltese-owned EC English Language Centres recently made the shortlist for a final of the UK Customer Experience Awards 2016 (UKCXA).

The international language school received the nomination following the success of its ‘Orange Carpet Experience’, an initiative unique to EC which ensures that every student feels special and enjoys a rich and fulfilling language-learning journey.

EC Chief Operations Officer Jan Matthews comments, “At EC we are passionate about ensuring our students have a fantastic experience during a potentially lifechanging time for them. This is why we knew it was important to look at every step of the student journey and optimise it, making it the best it can be so every student can have the perfect Orange Carpet Experience. To make the shortlist of such a prestigious award is testament to, and recognition of, the great work the EC family has done across the globe.” EC’s Orange Carpet Experience involves a number of key steps to provide a positive, memorable language-learning journey. For instance, students can start the learning process before arriving at their EC destination by logging in to EC Online, a unique tool that allows learners to access resources, track progress, and set personal academic goals.

Upon arrival, students are welcomed by homestay hosts or EC representatives who are fullybriefed and ready to answer any questions; once settled in students get the chance to make new friends and socialize though a number of Sunday activities, allowing students to have a smooth first day of class. This also includes making sure students are provided with all the information they need to make the most of their time abroad and really feel like a local in their chosen destination. Towards the end of their experience, students have an opportunity to discuss their progress and their plans for the future on a one-to-one basis.

The winners of UKCXA 2016 will be announced on Friday, 23 September at a ceremony in London.
